Drama as Portable detains Carter Efe, crew at Ogun bar

A viral drama erupted at controversial singer, Portable’s Odogwu Bar in Sango, Ogun State, on Wednesday night when popular comedian Carter Efe reportedly stormed the venue with soldiers, sparking chaos that quickly went viral on social media.

According to a post attributed to Portable’s management, the team appealed for intervention, stating, “Anyone that knows Carter Efe should please call him to order. He just stormed Odogwu Bar where Portable is, with soldiers unannounced. I don’t want wahala.”

Footage circulating online shows Carter Efe and his associate, Kolu, arriving at the bar, with tensions quickly escalating after Portable allegedly seized a camera from Carter Efe’s team.

Prior to the incident, Carter Efe had teased his visit on social media, telling followers, “Portable, expect me at Odogwu Bar! Me and Kolu will be streaming live from Lagos to Odogwu Bar.”

The situation intensified when Portable confronted Carter Efe, Kolu, and their crew, questioning the purpose of their visit and insisting they had failed to inform him beforehand.

Kolu attempted to clarify that he had made a phone call, but Portable dismissed the explanation, claiming Carter Efe never reached out.

The video shows Portable visibly angry, shouting threats and warning, “Things won’t end well for you. Ogun will deal with you,”adding that they could only leave if they paid ₦10 million.

Carter Efe tried to defuse the situation with humour, but Portable reportedly struck him and stressed he was serious.

Portable further accused the content creator of poaching two of his associates, including Kolu, to work on his projects.

He also claimed that soldiers accompanied Carter Efe and discharged firearms at the bar, prompting him to alert the police.

When authorities arrived, Portable reiterated that the visitors came without an invitation, brought armed soldiers who fired three shots, and questioned their intentions, particularly with an upcoming boxing match involving him and the Machala crooner.
