The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has fixed September 8 to 12 for the physical verification of credentials and travel documents of foreign-trained Nigerian graduates preparing for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One service year.
The exercise will take place at nine designated centres across the country, including Lagos, Osun, the Federal Capital Territory, Enugu, Bauchi, Kano, Rivers, Sokoto and Adamawa.
In a statement published on its official X handle, the NYSC directed affected prospective corps members to appear at the venue and on the date indicated on their verification slips.
The scheme said the directive is aimed at ensuring a smooth exercise and preventing overcrowding at the centres.
Prospective corps members are expected to present the original copies of the credentials and travel documents submitted during online registration.
Medical graduates are also required to present their professional licences, registration certificates and other relevant documents issued by their regulatory bodies.
The NYSC further instructed candidates to submit original Evaluation Letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education at its headquarters in Abuja, while acknowledged copies must also be uploaded online.
The scheme warned that only candidates who appear physically with their documents, undergo verification and receive clearance will be deployed for national service, granted exemption or excluded from the scheme.
The NYSC stressed that physical verification remains a compulsory requirement for eligible foreign-trained Nigerian graduates participating in the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream One service year.
