The Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, has released the names of successful and reserve candidates for admission into its 78th Regular Combatant Course.
The Armed Forces Selection Board conducted the selection exercise between July 4 and August 19, 2026, after which successful candidates were offered admission into the military institution.
In a statement issued by the Academy Registrar, Brigadier General O.A. Ogunleye, the NDA said successful candidates are expected to report at the Ribadu Campus of the Academy in Kaduna on Saturday, September 12.
The Academy warned that candidates who fail to report by Monday, September 14, risk losing their admission.
The statement said, “Any candidate who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit his or her place.”
According to the NDA, only candidates who have been offered admission are required to report physically at the Academy, where they will be received at the Drill Shed, NDA Old Site, Ribadu Cantonment.
Candidates on the reserve list, however, may be contacted if vacancies arise, with notifications to be sent through their registered email addresses and telephone numbers.
Those offered admission are required to arrive with the original copies of their academic and personal documents, including their First School Leaving Certificate, primary school testimonial, WAEC or NECO results, secondary school testimonial, birth certificate or declaration of age, and certificate of state of origin.
The NDA also stressed the need for candidates to present an original, duly endorsed Parent or Guardian Consent Form, noting that photocopies of the document would not be accepted.
The Academy stated, “Any candidate who fails to present originals of the stated documents will not be accepted into the Academy.”
Successful candidates are also expected to come with specified personal belongings and clothing, including formal wear, national attire, sportswear, footwear, socks, bed sheets and other essential items.
Female candidates have additional requirements, including black low-heel cover shoes, dark-coloured lounge skirts, short tights and trouser suits.
The NDA further directed all successful candidates to upload their O’Level results on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board portal before arriving at the Academy.
Candidates who were offered admission into an academic department different from their preferred choice have also been advised to use the JAMB portal to process the required change.
They are equally required to accept their admission through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, before reporting.
The Academy also announced restrictions on movement during the initial period of training, stating that newly admitted candidates would neither be permitted to receive visitors nor leave the Academy within their first three months.
The NDA urged successful candidates and their parents or guardians to comply fully with the admission requirements and reporting schedule.
