Liverpool may sell Salah for right price – Carragher

Former Liverpool defender, Jamie Carragher, has suggested the club could be prepared to part ways with Mohamed Salah if a suitable offer is made.

Despite signing a two-year contract extension in April, the Egyptian forward has been heavily linked with a January exit following recent tension, including comments in which he claimed the club threw him “under the bus.”

Speculation around Salah’s future has intensified further as he is set to join Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations, a commitment that will rule him out of Liverpool’s next three Premier League matches.

Speaking on the Stick to Football podcast, Carragher indicated that Liverpool may choose to cash in rather than deal with continued controversy.

“I think if Liverpool get the money that they want, they will probably will. I think they’ll think they don’t want the hassle.

“I’d love him to stay and I think he can have a better send-off and have an impact between now and the end of the season.”

Carragher’s comments have added fuel to the ongoing debate over whether Salah’s time at Anfield is nearing its end.
