Liverpool captain, Virgil van Dijk has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to trouble any opponent.
The Dutch defender spoke after Liverpool secured a 1-0 victory over Real Madrid at Anfield in Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash.
This followed a 2-0 triumph against Aston Villa on Saturday, after a difficult period in which the Reds lost six of seven games and went 10 matches without keeping a clean sheet.
Looking ahead, Liverpool face another stern challenge in the Premier League on Sunday when they take on Manchester City.
“We have the quality to hurt anyone on the break, it starts with the defending. Today you saw the hard work.
“We have to keep going. Sunday is going to be another difficult one.”
