Ligue 1: Toulouse thrash Paris FC 3-0

Toulouse FC demonstrated ruthless efficiency as they secured a 3-0 victory over Paris FC at Jean-Bouin, extending the hosts’ winless streak while propelling Carles Martínez Novell’s side into the top seven of Ligue 1.

Despite yielding possession for long periods, Toulouse capitalized on their chances with clinical precision, exposing Paris FC’s struggles in front of goal once again.

Toulouse’s Precision Proves Decisive

Paris FC began with intent, nearly breaking the deadlock inside the opening 20 seconds when Ilan Kebbal’s long-range effort forced Guillaume Restes into a sharp save.

But Toulouse quickly found their rhythm, pressing high and exploiting their quick, dynamic attack.

Midway through the first half, Kevin Trapp denied Djibril Sidibé from the penalty spot. Yet Toulouse’s dominance soon paid off.

Moments later, Sidibé delivered a teasing cross that Santiago Hidalgo finished expertly to give the visitors the lead in the 29th minute.

The pressure continued, and Toulouse doubled their advantage eight minutes later. Yann Gboho cut in from the left before curling a stunning strike past Trapp to make it 2-0.

Paris FC pressed harder after the break, but Toulouse’s defensive trio, McKenzie, Cresswell, and Nicolaisen, remained composed.

Any hopes of a comeback vanished just after the hour mark when Sidibé provided his second assist, sending Gboho through on goal.

The winger calmly slotted the ball past Trapp to complete his brace in the 69th minute.

From that point on, Toulouse controlled the game with maturity, limiting Paris FC to just two shots on target despite the hosts holding 65% possession.
