PSV Eindhoven produced a dominant display on Sunday, cruising to a 6-1 victory over Utrecht with Sergiño Dest playing a starring role.
The United States defender was instrumental in PSV taking the lead just before half-time, delivering a dangerous cross in the 45th minute that resulted in the visitors moving ahead.
Dest continued to influence proceedings after the break, constantly pushing forward from his defensive position and creating problems for the Utrecht defence.
The right-back came close to adding his name to the scoresheet in the 80th minute when his low effort forced Utrecht goalkeeper Vasilis Barkas into action.
He eventually got his goal deep into stoppage time, calmly guiding a left-footed effort into the top-left corner to complete an impressive individual performance.
Dest finished the match with four shots, three of them on target.
He was also fouled seven times, won possession on nine occasions and completed 27 passes in the final third.
The emphatic victory lifted PSV to second place with 10 points, while Utrecht remain without a win.
PSV will next travel to face Ajax, while Utrecht host Go Ahead Eagles.
