Leeds United maintained their unbeaten start to the Premier League season after being held to a 0-0 draw by Crystal Palace at Elland Road on Sunday.
Palace produced a disciplined performance and arguably created the clearer opportunities, despite spending much of the opening period sitting deep and looking to threaten on the counter.
Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford was forced into a low save to keep out Daichi Kamada’s effort, before he produced another fine stop after the break to deny Yeremy Pino’s free-kick.
Palace thought they had taken the lead when Tyrick Mitchell fired home following a deflection from Anan Khalaili’s cross.
However, the goal was ruled out by VAR after Khalaili was adjudged to have been offside.
Leeds nearly punished Palace moments later, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin could only shoot straight at goalkeeper Walter Benitez from close range after meeting James Justin’s cross.
Palace continued to threaten as Kamada headed narrowly wide, while Adam Wharton played a key role in midfield as the visitors kept Leeds under pressure.
Ismaïla Sarr also came close late on, but a timely challenge from Tarik Muharemovic prevented him from getting a clear effort away as both sides eventually settled for a point.
