Burnley staged a remarkable first-half turnaround at Selhurst Park to edge Crystal Palace 3-2, finally ending their dismal Premier League run.
Scott Parker’s side, who had gone 16 league games without a win, seemed in command when Jorgen Strand Larsen struck twice to put Palace ahead.
The striker first capitalized on Adam Wharton’s clever through ball, slotting past Martin Dubravka, before heading home a precise cross from Jefferson Lerma to double the advantage.
Burnley had been largely ineffective up to that point, but the momentum shifted dramatically before halftime. Hannibal Mejbri sparked the revival, finishing neatly from Marcus Edwards’ pull-back.
Jaidon Anthony then drilled a shot at the near post to equalize, despite Palace’s claims of a handball in the build-up.
In stoppage time, Bashir Humphreys’ header was deflected onto Lerma and into the net for an own goal, giving Burnley the lead.
Palace dominated possession in the second half but couldn’t break through, allowing Burnley to secure a crucial victory, even though they remain nine points adrift of safety.
