EPL: Arsenal trash Leeds to reclaim seven-point lead

Arsenal restored their seven-point cushion at the summit of the Premier League with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road.

Under scrutiny following last weekend’s home loss to Manchester United, Mikel Arteta’s men responded in ruthless fashion, overwhelming the hosts with a dominant display on Saturday.

Martín Zubimendi set the tone by opening the scoring, before Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow inadvertently doubled Arsenal’s advantage with an own goal.

The visitors never eased off after the break, as Viktor Gyökeres struck to make it three before Gabriel Jesus completed the rout.

The convincing win not only underlined Arsenal’s title credentials but also served as a strong response to recent setbacks, reasserting their authority at the top of the table.
