Fisayo Dele-Bashiru marked his presence on the scoresheet as Lazio and Atalanta shared four second-half goals in an exciting 2-2 draw during the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles forward capitalized on a precise through ball from former Atalanta midfielder Daniel Maldini to put Lazio ahead just two minutes after the break.
Atalanta responded swiftly, with Mario Pasalic converting a rebound in the 49th minute to level the scores.
Late drama ensued as Boulaye Dia exploited a defensive lapse by Pasalic to restore Lazio’s lead in the 87th minute.
However, United States international Yunus Musah struck in the 90th to hand Atalanta a share of the spoils.
In the other semifinal, Como and Inter Milan played out a goalless draw on Tuesday.
The second legs of the semifinals are set for April 21-22, with the Coppa Italia final scheduled for May 13.
Atalanta has reached the final three times in the past seven seasons but lifted the trophy only once, in 1963, while Lazio, a seven-time champion, last claimed the title by defeating Atalanta in 2019.
