Chelsea have officially completed the signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United, adding a dynamic edge to their attacking lineup at Stamford Bridge.

The 21-year-old forward has joined the Blues for a reported £40 million ($54 million) and has committed to a long-term deal running until 2032.

Prior to the official announcement, Garnacho was seen in the stands during Chelsea’s 2-0 home victory over Fulham on Saturday, signaling his imminent arrival.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the move, Garnacho said, “It’s an incredible moment for my family and I to join this great club. I can’t wait to get started. I watched the Club World Cup and to join the world champions is special, we’re the best team in the world! It’s amazing to be here and I’m very happy.”

The Argentina international, who publicly criticised former United manager Ruben Amorim after being benched in the Europa League final against Tottenham in May, had been training separately at Carrington while his future was being decided.

With 16 goals in 93 Premier League appearances, Garnacho is set to bolster Enzo Maresca’s attacking options and provide fresh firepower for Chelsea’s frontline.
