Liverpool manager Arne Slot has highlighted Bournemouth as one of the Premier League’s most intense sides ahead of today’s encounter.
The Reds return to domestic action following a commanding 3-0 Champions League victory over Marseille, just two days after Bournemouth drew 1-1 with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Speaking ahead of the match, Slot emphasized the importance of matching Bournemouth’s intensity, “Bournemouth one of most intense teams in the league. Near top of running stats. You know you have to be intense if you go there yourself.
“We’re the only team in the Champions League who has only two days rest this week, not the first time this season. But we’ve shown we are able to do so.
“Going there last season was an important game on way to winning the league.”
