Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, could spend several weeks on the sidelines after suffering a hip injury that has raised concerns at Italian club AC Milan.
The 27-year-old missed Wednesday morning’s training session as Milan prepared for their UEFA Europa League clash against Premier League side Bournemouth.
According to reports by Sport Mediaset, Chukwueze is expected to undergo a specialist examination to determine the severity of the injury.
The Nigerian international reportedly experienced discomfort in his left hip, prompting concerns about the extent of the problem.
Milan are worried that the injury could keep the winger out of action for several weeks or potentially months, depending on the outcome of further medical assessments.
Chukwueze has enjoyed an encouraging start to the season under manager Ruben Amorim following his return from a loan spell at Fulham.
The winger has registered two assists in eight appearances across all competitions for the Italian side this season.
