Defending champions, Paris Saint-Germain will host Barcelona on Tuesday as the UEFA Champions League returns for its third round of league-phase matches, while Bayern Munich welcome Arsenal in another high-profile clash on Wednesday.
The two-day programme features 18 matches, with Manchester City, Liverpool and Real Madrid also in action as clubs battle for valuable points in the competition.
PSG will go into the encounter at the Parc des Princes seeking another victory after defeating Manchester City 4-2 in their previous Champions League match on October 14.
Barcelona, however, will arrive in Paris with confidence after winning their opening two matches, including a 4-1 away victory over Galatasaray.
The Spanish side will aim to extend their winning start against the reigning champions in a meeting that will also reunite them with former manager Luis Enrique, who now oversees the French club.
Wednesday’s meeting between Bayern Munich and Arsenal is another major fixture of the round, with the German giants looking to recover from their previous outing.
Arsenal recorded a 3-0 victory over Lille, while Bayern were held to a 3-3 draw away to Viking.
The encounter presents Arsenal with an opportunity to strengthen their position against one of Europe’s most established clubs, while Bayern will be eager to return to winning ways.
