Barcelona came from behind to defeat Galatasaray 4-1 in Istanbul on Tuesday, extending their perfect start to the season to 10 victories in 10 matches across all competitions.

The Spanish champions recovered from an early setback to dominate the second half, with João Cancelo, Fermín López, Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi finding the net for Hansi Flick’s side.

Galatasaray took the lead in the 28th minute through Aleksey Batrakov, putting the visitors under pressure at the RAMS Park.

The Turkish side appeared to have doubled their advantage before half-time, but their second goal was ruled out following a lengthy Video Assistant Referee review.

Barcelona capitalised on the reprieve, with Cancelo restoring parity in the 43rd minute after Lamine Yamal lost possession and the ball fell into the defender’s path.

The visitors returned from the break with renewed intensity, and Fermín put them ahead five minutes into the second half.

Gordon extended Barcelona’s advantage in the 53rd minute, scoring his first Champions League goal for the club on his first start in the competition to give the visitors greater control of the encounter.

Adeyemi completed the scoring in the 65th minute, driving the ball across goal and into the bottom corner to seal an emphatic victory.
