Super Falcons defender, Chidinma Okeke, has joined Italian club Napoli Women on a two-year contract after completing her move from Mexican side América Femenil.
The 26-year-old defender will continue her career in Italy after spending the last two seasons with América Femenil, having previously played for Japanese club Mynavi Sendai Ladies.
Okeke expressed her excitement about the move and said she was eager to begin her new chapter with the Partenopei.
“I’m happy with my first few days here. I’ve met the coach, the staff, and my teammates, and it’s been fantastic. My goal for this season? To give my all together with the team,” Okeke told the club’s official website.
During her spell in Mexico, Okeke helped América Femenil win the CONCACAF Champions Cup in the 2025/26 season.
The defender began her international career with Nigeria’s U-17 and U-20 teams before progressing to the senior national team, the Super Falcons.
She represented the Flamingos at the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Okeke later earned a place in the Super Falcons squad for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and was also selected for Nigeria’s team at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
