UK band Oasis tease new tour with Manchester drone show

British rock band Oasis have sparked fresh excitement among fans after staging a dramatic drone display over Manchester, hinting at an announcement about a possible new tour.

The drones lit up the night sky above the Etihad’s Joie Stadium, home of Manchester City Women, on Thursday, displaying the band’s logo before changing to the date “14.09.26” and the time “4pm BST”.

The message has fuelled speculation that Oasis will make a major announcement at 4pm BST on Monday, September 14, although the band had not formally confirmed tour dates or venues at the time of the display.

Oasis, led by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, reunited in 2025 for their successful Live ’25 tour, marking their first performances together since the band split in 2009.

The group has also recently dropped hints on social media about possible venues for another run of shows.

Among the locations linked to the rumoured tour are Manchester’s Etihad Stadium, Celtic Park in Glasgow and Knebworth, where Oasis performed before about 250,000 fans in 1996 during the height of the Britpop era.

The speculation comes shortly after the release of the documentary Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, which features the brothers’ first joint interviews in more than two decades.

The film, written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, combines concert footage with a look at the band’s reunion tour, which began in Cardiff in July 2025.

Oasis have enjoyed eight UK number one singles and eight UK number one albums, with hits including Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back In Anger and Roll With It among their most recognisable songs.
