Argentina international, Franco Mastantuono, scored a hat-trick as Fiorentina secured their first Serie A victory of the season with a 4-2 win over Venezia on Friday.
Venezia took the lead midway through the first half when Gianluca Busio broke through the middle before setting up Akor Adams, who fired a powerful first-time effort into the far corner for his first Serie A goal.
Fiorentina responded quickly, with Mastantuono scoring twice within two minutes to turn the game around.
The Real Madrid loanee cut inside from the right and drilled a low left-footed strike into the bottom corner before capitalising on a loose ball to find the opposite corner via the post.
The visitors could have extended their advantage before the interval, but Alieu Njie was denied by goalkeeper Filip Stankovic after being played through on goal.
Venezia applied pressure after the restart, but Fiorentina struck again with less than 25 minutes remaining.
Substitute Mateo Pellegrino raced onto a clearance from Nicolo Fagioli before breaking clear and firing into the bottom corner to make it 3-1.
Mastantuono completed his hat-trick later in the match after his initial effort was saved by Stankovic, with the rebound coming back off the 19-year-old and into the net.
Venezia pulled another goal back three minutes from time through Antoine Hainaut, who volleyed past David de Gea, but Fiorentina held on to end a five-game losing run in Serie A away meetings between the sides.
The result moved Fiorentina off the bottom of the table, while Venezia remained rooted to the foot of the standings after conceding at least twice in each of their six matches this season.
