Monaco came from behind to defeat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 at the Parc des Princes on Friday, handing the French champions another disappointing result in the opening weeks of the Ligue 1 season.
PSG took the lead in the 31st minute when captain Marquinhos finished off a well-worked attack, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia providing the delivery that led to the goal.
The hosts remained in control for much of the first half and went into the break with a narrow advantage.
However, Monaco responded strongly after the restart and levelled in the 58th minute.
Jordan Teze delivered a cross into the area, which Nazinho met with a header to beat Matvey Safonov.
The visitors then completed the comeback 14 minutes later.
Aleksandr Golovin picked out Stanis Idumbo inside the PSG penalty area, and the Monaco forward fired a powerful effort past Safonov at his near post to put the visitors 2-1 ahead.
PSG pushed for an equaliser and appeared to have found it late on through Ferran Torres, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Monaco held on for a significant victory, completing a third consecutive Ligue 1 win over PSG.
The defeat leaves PSG still searching for their first league victory of the new campaign after drawing their opening two matches.
It also extends their winless league run to four games, their longest such sequence since 2023.
For Monaco, the result maintains their perfect start to the league season and continues an impressive run under Filipe Luís, with the club also unbeaten in all five matches across competitions this season.
