Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, Chelsea boss, Xabi Alonso, Hull City head coach, Sergej Jakirović and Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca have been shortlisted for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for August.
The quartet earned their places on the list after guiding their respective teams to perfect starts to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, with each side winning its opening two matches.
Arteta has helped Arsenal make a strong start to their title defence, with the Gunners claiming victories over Coventry City and Aston Villa.
The north London club have also kept clean sheets in both matches, highlighting the defensive strength of Arteta’s side.
Alonso has enjoyed an encouraging beginning to life at Chelsea, leading the Blues to wins over Fulham and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Chelsea have been particularly impressive in attack, scoring seven goals across their first two league games despite conceding five.
Jakirović has arguably produced the biggest surprise of the four nominees after guiding newly promoted Hull City to two victories.
Hull defeated Manchester United and Coventry City without conceding, leaving them with a perfect record and two clean sheets from their opening fixtures.
Maresca has also made an immediate impact at Manchester City following his appointment as Guardiola’s successor.
City began their campaign with a victory over Bournemouth before recording a convincing win against Crystal Palace, scoring six goals and conceding twice in their two matches.
The award will be decided through a combination of votes from the public and a panel of football experts.
Fans will have the opportunity to cast their votes before the deadline, with the final winner expected to be announced later in September.
