Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died at the age of 66.
Hassan reportedly passed away on Sunday after battling cancer.
The news of his death was announced by his daughter, Kira Taiwo, in an emotional video circulating on social media. In the video, Kira was seen crying as she repeatedly said, “My daddy is dead.”
The development comes days after Kira and her sister, Haleemah, disclosed that the actor had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and appealed to the public for support as the family explored treatment options.
Hassan was one of the prominent figures in the Nigerian film industry, particularly in Yoruba-language cinema, where he built a reputation for his memorable performances over several decades.
