Super Eagles defender, Semi Ajayi was on target as Hull City stunned Manchester United with a convincing 2-0 victory in their Premier League clash at the MKM Stadium on Saturday.
Hull, who are among the newcomers to the English top flight, produced an impressive display from the opening whistle and never allowed United to settle into the contest.
Ajayi opened the scoring in the 17th minute after reacting quickest to a loose ball inside the area before calmly finishing to give the hosts the lead.
The Tigers continued to control proceedings and were rewarded with a second goal when Senegalese defender Nobel Mendy rose highest to power a header past the Manchester United goalkeeper.
United struggled to find a response as Hull remained organised at the back and dangerous on the counter, securing a memorable victory over the Premier League giants.
The result handed Hull an impressive start to their campaign, while Manchester United were left to reflect on a disappointing performance against the newly promoted side.
