Nigerian defender, Chukwuma Eze has joined Spanish club Villarreal B on a season-long loan from Real Oviedo ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The 22-year-old centre-back will spend the season with Villarreal’s reserve side as he looks to gain more playing experience and continue his development in Spanish football.

The defender has also gained experience from several loan spells, representing CD Llanes, L’Entregu CF and Real Avilés.

He featured 18 times for Real Avilés last season, further enhancing his experience and reputation in the Spanish lower divisions.

His development has also earned him a new contract with Real Oviedo, with the defender now tied to the club until 2029.

Eze has previously made his senior debut for Oviedo, featuring against Levante in April 2025.
