NSCDC unveils new security outpost in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has inaugurated a new operational outpost in Yelwa Quarters, Dala Local Government Area of Kano State, in a move aimed at boosting security coverage and improving the protection of lives and property in the community.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Abdullahi, on behalf of the Kano State Commandant, Mohammed Agalama.
While inaugurating the facility, Agalama described the outpost as a strategic initiative designed to improve the corps’ response to security threats at the grassroots.

He said the establishment of the outpost was a strategic step “towards bringing security services closer to the people of this area and ensuring prompt response to emerging security challenges.”

The commandant also stressed the need for stronger collaboration between residents and security agencies, urging members of the public to provide timely and reliable intelligence that could help prevent criminal activities and sustain peace.
