Nigeria international, Gift Orban, is closing in on a loan move to newly promoted Turkish Süper Lig side Amedspor for the 2026/27 campaign.
Reports from Turkey indicate that Amedspor have finalised an agreement with Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim and the player for a season-long loan deal that includes an option to make the transfer permanent.
The 24-year-old is expected to arrive in Turkey on Saturday to complete his medical and sign the necessary documents.
As part of the agreement, Amedspor will pay Orban’s full wages for the duration of the loan spell.
Another Fresh Start For Orban
Orban returns to the transfer market after spending last season on loan at Serie A outfit Hellas Verona, who decided against activating the clause to sign him permanently.
The Nigerian forward scored seven goals and registered two assists in 28 Serie A appearances for the Gialloblù.
The move will see Orban continue his European journey, having previously featured for clubs in Norway, Belgium, France and Germany.
Historic Challenge Awaits
Amedspor are preparing for their maiden campaign in the Turkish Süper Lig after earning promotion to the top flight for the first time in the club’s history last season.
The Diyarbakır-based club, popularly known as The People’s Team, play their home matches at the 33,000-capacity Diyarbakır Stadium.
