EPL: Guardiola, Gibbs-White win Manager, Player of the Month

Nottingham Forest captain, Morgan Gibbs-White, has been voted Premier League Player of the Month for April after a brilliant run of form that helped lift his side clear of danger.

The midfielder contributed four goals and one assist in just three league appearances, highlighted by a rapid 15-minute hat-trick in Forest’s 4-1 comeback victory over Burnley.

He also registered a goal and assist in a dominant 5-0 win against Sunderland.

Those performances played a key role in strengthening Forest’s position in the table, with the club now sitting six points above the relegation zone.

Gibbs-White becomes only the second Nottingham Forest player to claim the monthly honour, following striker Chris Wood’s win last year.

In the managerial category, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month after guiding his team through a flawless April.

City recorded wins over major rivals, including a 2-1 triumph against Arsenal, a 3-0 victory over Chelsea, and a 1-0 win over Burnley.

The award is Guardiola’s 13th Manager of the Month title, placing him third on the all-time list and just two behind the record held by former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger.
