Police dismiss bomb scare at Kaduna motor park

The Kaduna State Police Command has dismissed reports suggesting that an explosion at Mando Motor Park was caused by a bomb, clarifying that the incident involved a gas-powered vehicle.

According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, the incident happened around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday within the premises of Silver Luxury Travel, a transport company located at Mando Garage in Kaduna.

Hassan said police operatives swiftly moved to the scene after residents reported hearing a loud blast.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the incident involved a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered luxury bus belonging to Silver Luxury Travel, which exploded due to overfilling of its gas tank,” he said.
