In a condolence message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, the governor described the death as tragic and painful.

“It is heartbreaking that he died despite efforts by medical personnel to save his life,” the governor said, noting that Ben passed away in the early hours of Sunday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
