EPL: Haaland shines as Manchester City beat West Ham 3-0

Manchester City delivered a dominant performance as they swept aside West Ham United 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The result deepened West Ham’s struggles under head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, with the London club now certain to spend Christmas stuck in the relegation zone.

City wasted no time asserting control, as Erling Haaland struck after just five minutes, finishing off a neat assist from Phil Foden.

The hosts doubled their advantage in the 38th minute when Tijjani Reijnders found the net to cap a commanding first-half display.

Haaland sealed the win later on, netting his 19th goal of the season to underline City’s attacking superiority.

The victory lifted Pep Guardiola’s side to the top of the table with 37 points from 17 matches, while West Ham remain 17th, having managed only 13 points from the same number of games.
