Fulham not considering permanent Chukwueze move – Coach

Fulham manager, Marco Silva, has confirmed that there have been no discussions regarding a permanent move for Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze.

The Nigerian winger joined the Cottagers on a season-long loan from AC Milan on deadline day, with Fulham holding the option to sign him permanently for a fee reportedly ranging between €22-€26m, according to Standard Sport.

Despite reports suggesting that Fulham have initiated talks to secure Chukwueze’s services long-term, Silva clarified that no such discussions have taken place.

“No talks. We have protected ourselves with the deal. He’s been very good for us; let’s hope he can do the same things in the next 1-2 games. We have an option with him,” Silva said during his pre-match press briefing on Friday.

Chukwueze came off the bench to score a brace in Fulham’s thrilling 5-4 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old has contributed two goals and three assists across seven league appearances for the Whites so far this season.
