Nigeria international, Terem Moffi, featured for Nice in a heavy 5-1 Ligue 1 defeat to Marseille on Friday night.
The forward, making his eighth appearance of the season in France’s top flight and having scored twice so far, was substituted in the 66th minute.
Marseille’s impressive performance saw Gabonese star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang score and assist a goal, while former Manchester United and England forward Mason Greenwood netted a brace to seal the dominant win.
The victory lifted Marseille temporarily to the top of the Ligue 1 table with 28 points, just one ahead of reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain. Nice, meanwhile, remain in ninth place with 17 points.
Moffi had not featured for the Super Eagles during the recent FIFA World Cup qualifying playoffs.
