Silva hails Chukwueze despite Fulham defeat

Fulham manager, Marco Silva, has praised Samuel Chukwueze for his performance despite the team’s 2-0 defeat to Everton in their Premier League clash on Saturday.

The London side struggled to find a breakthrough at Goodison Park, with Everton taking full advantage to secure all three points.

Chukwueze came off the bench in the 59th minute, replacing Harry Wilson, and immediately showcased his pace and dribbling skills. The Nigerian winger consistently troubled Everton’s defense, creating opportunities and adding energy to Fulham’s attacking play. His lively display stood out as one of the few positives for the visitors on the day.

“The impact from Chukwueze and Rodrigo was there but before it should have been much better, that’s the reality,” Silva told the club’s official website.

The manager acknowledged that while Fulham needed to perform better overall, Chukwueze’s contribution was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing match.

The 26-year-old joined Fulham on a season-long loan from Italian giants AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

Since arriving at Craven Cottage, Chukwueze has made four league appearances and has already registered one assist, highlighting his potential to make a significant impact for the club this season.

Fulham will be hoping that Chukwueze can continue to influence games as they look to climb the Premier League table. With Silva emphasizing the winger’s positive impact, fans will be eager to see more of Chukwueze’s creativity and pace in the coming fixtures.
