Kaduna PDP suspends state secretary over alleged anti-party activities

The Kaduna State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has suspended its State Secretary, Mr. Sa’idu Adamu, over alleged misconduct and engagement in anti-party activities.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Kaduna, the State Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Maria Dogo, said the decision was reached during the State Working Committee meeting held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at the party’s secretariat.

According to Dogo, the suspension was in accordance with Articles 58(1)(h) and 57(3) of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended).

“The decision to suspend Mr. Sa’idu Adamu was taken after due consideration of reports on gross misconduct and anti-party actions,” she said.

“The suspension takes immediate effect and will last for one month, pending the outcome of investigations by the party’s disciplinary committee.”

Dogo added that the suspended official would be barred from participating in any party activities during the suspension period.

“Hon. Adamu is hereby restrained from attending or participating in any PDP function at all levels until further notice,” she noted.

She reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fairness, discipline, and internal democracy under the leadership of the State Chairman, Mr. Edward Percy Masha.

“The State Working Committee remains committed to strengthening the party’s structures and promoting accountability among members,” Dogo added.

The PDP in Kaduna joins other state chapters that have recently enforced disciplinary measures against erring members.

In August 2025, for instance, the Anambra State House of Assembly suspended Ayamelum Constituency representative, Bernard Udemezue, over what was described as a “damaging” social media post about constituency marginalisation.
