Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman, started for Atalanta but couldn’t inspire his side to victory as they were held to a 1-1 draw by newly promoted Como in their Serie A clash on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Fresh from a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Club Brugge in the Champions League, Atalanta entered the contest full of belief, yet they struggled to replicate that energy against a disciplined Como outfit led by Cesc Fàbregas.

Lookman, making his first Serie A start of the season, endured a frustrating evening.

The Nigerian forward missed two promising opportunities and failed to register a shot on target before being substituted in the 73rd minute after a subdued display.

Atalanta took an early lead through Lazar Samardžić, who calmly slotted home inside the box in the 6th minute.

However, Como hit back swiftly when Máximo Perrone’s fierce strike in the 19th minute rattled off the post and went in for the equaliser.

Despite both sides creating chances before the interval, neither could find a breakthrough in the second half. Atalanta pressed for a winner, but Como’s organised defence stood firm to secure a valuable point.

The result leaves Atalanta sixth in the Serie A standings with 11 points, just one ahead of Como, who sit seventh after six matches.
