Nigerian youngster, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, stole the spotlight on Sunday as he was voted Man of the Match in Pisa’s goalless Serie A encounter with Fiorentina.
The 20-year-old midfielder delivered a composed 90-minute performance, combining creativity with defensive grit to frustrate the visitors’ attacking rhythm.
Akinsanmiro, who has now featured four times in the league this season, is currently on loan at Pisa from Italian giants Inter Milan.
The former Remo Stars player linked up with Inter in 2023 after impressing in the Nigeria Premier Football League and has since made one competitive appearance for the Nerazzurri.
He previously gained valuable experience during a loan stint at Sampdoria in Serie B last season.
