President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar were seen together at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday, attending Jummah prayers.
The two leaders exchanged warm pleasantries and participated in the prayers alongside other worshippers.
Also in attendance were Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, All Progressives Congress National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, former Borno Governor Ali Modu Sheriff, and Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume.
Despite their history of rivalry, particularly during the recent presidential elections, sources indicate that this encounter was a routine exchange of courtesies without any underlying political motives.
The gathering highlights the ability of Nigerian leaders to put aside their differences and come together in a show of unity and respect.
This is not the first time President Tinubu has been spotted attending Jummah prayers.
He has been known to regularly attend prayers at the Lagos Central Mosque, emphasizing the importance of peace, tranquility, and kindness towards all individuals.
