Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has congratulated Monday Okpebholo on his victory in the Edo State governorship election.
Okpebholo, the All Progressives Congress candidate, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday.
In a statement, Aiyedatiwa praised the people of Edo for entrusting the state’s governance to the APC, according to NaijaNews.
He also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership, ensuring a peaceful and fair election.
Aiyedatiwa commended the peaceful conduct of the Edo people during and after the election.
He expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s vision to transform governance in Edo through progressive policies.
As chairman of the APC’s Election Planning and Strategy Committee in Edo, Aiyedatiwa played a key role in the party’s success.
The victory boosts the APC’s momentum ahead of the Ondo governorship election scheduled for November.
