Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala, has regained her freedom after spending two days in police custody.
Ogala was released on Monday following her arrest on Saturday in connection with allegations involving Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry.
Confirming her release, the actress shared a post on her Instagram page expressing her relief.
In the post, she also showed appreciation to human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, along with social media influencer VeryDarkMan, for their intervention. “Thank you, Sowore. Thanks so much to my ratel king,” she wrote.
Ogala’s arrest followed weeks of public attention sparked by a video showing Okafor’s engagement to another woman.
The actress had earlier claimed she was in a romantic relationship with the cleric since 2017, asserting that she left her previous marriage at his request. She accused Okafor of betraying her after years of intimacy and promises of marriage.
She also issued an ultimatum, demanding that Okafor either marry her or compensate her by buying a house.
The controversy escalated when images from Okafor’s white wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies surfaced online last Wednesday.
The dispute intensified further last Friday after Ogala shared and later deleted, an image allegedly showing Okafor topless in a private bedroom, with only a towel wrapped around his waist.
