Terry Bollea, the wrestling superstar famously known as “Hulk Hogan,” has died at the age of 71.
The iconic wrestler passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida, after suffering a cardiac arrest, according to sources close to the matter.
Emergency responders arrived quickly but were unable to revive him, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hogan rose to global fame in the 1980s, becoming the face of professional wrestling’s golden era with the rise of “Hulkamania.” He made history as the main event of the first WrestleMania in 1985 and went on to win six WWE world championships. His legendary career was honored with two WWE Hall of Fame inductions—first in 2005 and again in 2020.
Fans and fellow wrestlers worldwide are mourning the loss of one of sports entertainment’s most influential figures, whose charisma, larger-than-life persona, and signature moves like the “Atomic Leg Drop” left an indelible mark on pop culture.
