Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has released his final 23-man roster for Nigeria’s decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa, with captain William Troost-Ekong, midfield lynchpin Alex Iwobi, and lethal striker Victor Osimhen all confirmed in the squad.

The squad also features Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge, and reliable goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, while defensive pillars Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina, and Bright Osayi-Samuel retain their places.

In midfield, Wilfred Ndidi, now at Besiktas, joins Fisayo Dele-Bashiru of Lazio and Frank Onyeka of Brentford to boost Chelle’s options, while wingers Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze line up alongside Cyriel Dessers to provide attacking firepower.

There’s also a recall for Greece-based goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye, who teams up with Nwabali and Amas Obasogie in the goalkeeping department.

Werder Bremen’s Felix Agu earns a call-up for his first major competitive run with the Eagles.

Nigeria will host the Amavubi of Rwanda on Matchday 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday, September 6.
