Toyin Abraham distance self from influencer Big Ayo’s alleged rearrest

Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has debunked reports linking her to the alleged re-arrest of X influencer Big Ayo, describing the claims as false and urging the public to disregard them.

The speculation, which spread across social media, alleged that the actress orchestrated another arrest involving the influencer following their 2024 dispute.

Reacting swiftly, Abraham denied any involvement, stressing that she had no role in the matter.

“Arrest Ayo as how, pls this is fake and false news. I’m on set filming. Pls kindly disregard. I didn’t get Ayo or anyone arrested; it’s all love from me,” she said.

The claim was traced to a now-deleted post by an X user identified as Khan, who alleged that the influencer had been re-arrested at the actress’s instance.

As the rumours gained traction, a statement shared on X by Prince Adeshina on Tuesday night, on behalf of Abraham, dismissed the allegation.

“For the attention of the general public: Toyin Abraham was at a movie location and did not arrest Ayo,” the statement read.

“We urge the general public to consider the circulating report as fake news. Furthermore, the author of said report has been put on notice that, when called upon, he will be required to present evidence to support his claims”.

In a follow-up update, Adeshina clarified that while Big Ayo had indeed been arrested, it was not connected to the actress.

“It has been confirmed that Big Ayo was indeed arrested, however this was carried out on the instruction of a private citizen whom he defamed not on the instruction of Toyin Abraham.”

Abraham subsequently reposted both statements on X, reiterating her distance from the controversy.
