Fluminense centre-back, Thiago Silva, has expressed his willingness to represent Brazil again if national team coach, Carlo Ancelotti includes him in future plans.
The veteran defender, who celebrated his 41st birthday in September, last featured for the Selecao in 2022 but remains hopeful of making a remarkable return ahead of next year’s World Cup.
Speaking in an interview with Premiere, the former Chelsea star shared his optimism about one final appearance on football’s grandest stage.
“I am at Carlo Ancelotti’s disposal.
“If he wants to call me, I’ll be happy to come. And if he doesn’t call me, life goes on. But of course, another World Cup would be exceptional.
“Knowing that my contract with Fluminense ends at the end of the competition… Imagine if I end my career by winning the World Cup! It would be a wonderful ending.”
