Tennis star Djokovic aims for full fitness ahead of 2026

Tennis superstar, Novak Djokovic, has revealed that his primary objective for 2026 is to stay healthy and be ready to compete from the very first point.

Despite reaching four semi-finals this year, Djokovic struggled to perform at his peak in major tournaments, suffering defeats to rising stars Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, who managed to outlast him physically.

In an interview with Tennis World, Djokovic explained that he is focused on rebuilding his body and regaining full fitness ahead of the next season.

“I’m taking a short break and trying to reconstruct my machine, so to say, in racing terminology.

“I have been injured more often than not in the last 18 months, so I’m trying to rebuild my body for next season.

“Hopefully, I can keep up with the best guys.”
