Nigerian singer-songwriter, Tems, is set to shine on one of football’s grandest stages, the halftime show of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup Final, scheduled for July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
She will perform alongside Latin music icon, J Balvin and pop sensation, Doja Cat, in a show that promises to be a dazzling spectacle during the final of what is already a historic tournament the first-ever expanded edition of the FIFA Club World Cup, now featuring 32 of the world’s top football clubs.
This revamped tournament, taking place in the United States from June 13 to July 13, marks a major evolution for FIFA, with the competition now set to be held every four years.
The roster of clubs is a dream lineup for fans: European heavyweights like Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Juventus, Inter Milan, and Atletico Madrid, will compete against top teams from other regions, including Al Ahly (Egypt), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), Esperance (Tunisia), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Botafogo (Brazil), River Plate (Argentina), Inter Miami (USA), and Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia).
The performance is being organized in collaboration with Global Citizen, with a focus on raising awareness and funds to fight extreme poverty.
All three artists are returning collaborators with the organization.

“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment,” said Tems. “To celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. I can’t wait … see you at the Club World Cup final.”
Balvin has previously featured in three Global Citizen events during the pandemic, while Doja Cat headlined two high-profile festivals in Paris and New York. Tems made her Global Citizen debut in Accra, Ghana in 2022.
