Tottenham to offer improved €70m bid for Man City’s Savinho

Tottenham Hotspur are set to reignite their push for Savinho, with reports suggesting they will table a renewed bid worth over €70 million (£60.6m/$82m) following Saturday’s Premier League showdown at the Etihad.

The North London club had previously missed out on Eberechi Eze, who is edging closer to a £67.5m move to Arsenal and now see the Brazilian winger as their next major target.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, revealed Spurs will raise their offer in the coming days despite Manchester City rejecting several approaches in the last week and a half.

Romano wrote, *”Understand Tottenham are now prepared to improve their bid for Savinho over €70m, after the game this weekend.

“Manchester City hierarchy blocked all approaches in the last 10 days but Spurs will give it one more try.”*

City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed the 21-year-old will miss the clash against Spurs due to a minor fitness setback.

Yet, Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is eager to add fresh attacking options after recent injuries to James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.

The pursuit of Savinho reflects Spurs’ determination to secure a high-profile signing after losing the race for Eze. With his pace, flair, and creativity, the Brazilian is seen as a strong tactical fit for Frank’s system.

However, City remain reluctant to part ways with a talent they view as central to their long-term plans.

Savinho arrived at Manchester City in 2024 from Troyes, following an eye-catching loan spell with Girona where he became one of La Liga’s breakout stars.

His rapid rise has put him on the radar of top European clubs, but Spurs believe his arrival could inject the spark needed to push for a Champions League place.

Tottenham’s next move is to lodge their improved €70m+ offer after the weekend fixture, hoping to persuade City to reconsider.

While Guardiola wants to keep hold of the youngster, the situation could evolve if Savinho pushes for the switch. For now, Spurs remain undeterred in their pursuit.
