Riding high from their pole position in Saturday’s qualifying, Team Brazil surged to victory at the E1 Lagos GP on Sunday, marking their first win of the season.

Powerboat ace Timmy Hansen once again proved instrumental, steering the team to triumph through the group stages, race-off, and ultimately the final.

Team Brazil narrowly outpaced Team Blue Rising, who claimed second place, while Team Drogba secured third.

Despite their championship contention, Team Rafa and Team Brady failed to make the podium in Lagos, continuing their intense rivalry at the top of the standings.

With this win, Team Brazil added 38 points to their tally, bringing them to 89 points overall. Yet, they remain behind in the championship race, with the season finale set for Miami next month.

The E1 Lagos GP made history as the first African city to host the all-electric powerboat series, which debuted last year in Jeddah.

As the penultimate race of the season, Lagos played a key role in shaping the championship battle ahead of the Miami finale.

The E1 World Championship, often called the “Formula One of the seas,” is the globe’s first all-electric powerboat series, blending cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and thrilling high-speed water racing.

Co-founded by Alejandro Agag, the mind behind Formula E and Extreme E, and former Formula One engineer Rodi Basso, the series aims to promote cleaner, greener marine transport through sport.
