Super Falcons defender, Tosin Demehin, has announced her departure from Turkish Women’s Super Lig side Galatasaray after two seasons with the club.
Demehin joined Galatasaray from French outfit Stade de Reims in 2024 on a one-year contract.
After the initial agreement expired, the Turkish club extended her stay following her impressive performances.
The Nigeria international became a regular member of the Galatasaray squad during her time in Turkey.
However, the club could not reproduce the success of its 2023/24 title-winning campaign.
Demehin has now confirmed that her time with the club has come to an end, expressing appreciation for her experience and the opportunity to represent Galatasaray.
“Thank you Galatasaray for an incredible chapter. It has been an honour to wear this badge and represent this great club. I leave with great respect, gratitude, pride and unforgettable memories. Wishing the club continued success.”
The former Rivers Angels player has yet to disclose where she will continue her career.
Demehin was part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where the Super Falcons reached the quarter-finals.
She was sent off during Nigeria’s second group game against Zambia, although the team held on to secure a 1-0 victory.
Despite the setback, the centre-back remains highly regarded for her physical strength, aerial ability and pace.
Her departure comes as European leagues prepare for the new season, with the Nigerian defender expected to attract interest from clubs seeking defensive reinforcements.
For now, Demehin’s next destination remains unknown as she begins a new chapter in her career.
