Soludo inaugurates SSG, 13 others as key officials in Anambra

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has sworn in the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, alongside 13 other newly appointed officials.

The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday at the State Executive Council Chamber of the Government House in Awka.

The new SSG and other appointees took their oaths of office shortly after the Attorney-General of the state, Tobechukwu Nweke, was earlier sworn in and subsequently administered the oath of allegiance to them.

Addressing the officials, Soludo described their appointments as a deliberate process, noting that each individual was carefully selected based on merit and capacity.

“I welcome you all to ‘Team Solution 2.0’. Each of you has been thoroughly vetted, and we were intentional in assembling this team,” he said.

The governor emphasised that the appointments marked the beginning of more to come and urged the appointees to see their roles as a responsibility to serve the people.

“This is the first batch of appointments; more will follow. It is both an honour and a call to service,” he stated.

Soludo also highlighted the sacrifices required in public office, cautioning against viewing leadership as an avenue for personal gain.

“When people are called to serve, some see it as an opportunity for personal benefit, but this is about responsibility and sacrifice,” he added.

He further urged the appointees to reflect on the oath they had taken and remain committed to its principles.

“This is not just a ceremony. Study the oath and let it guide your actions throughout your service,” the governor advised.

The governor also appealed to families and associates of the appointees to minimise personal demands on them, noting that their primary obligation is to the state.

The governor reiterated the need for teamwork and coordination among the appointees to achieve the administration’s goals.

“It is about collaboration and shared purpose. The success of this team depends on how well you work together,” he said.
