Six people were injured on Monday after an Iranian strike hit a residential neighbourhood in northern Kuwait, according to the country’s health ministry.
Earlier in the day, Kuwait’s military announced on X that its air defence systems had been activated to intercept missiles and drones approaching the country.
“Falling projectiles and debris in a residential area in the north of the country after an Iranian aggression,” the ministry said.
“The total number of injuries rose to six, with varying degrees of wounds.”
Kuwait had also reported dealing with similar attacks overnight between Sunday and Monday.
Countries across the Gulf, including Kuwait, have increasingly come under pressure from Iran’s retaliatory attacks since the United States and Israel launched strikes in late February, sparking a wider regional conflict.
Iran has repeatedly accused neighbouring Gulf nations of allowing US forces to use their territory to carry out attacks, an allegation those countries have consistently denied.
